Your close, shes a 58 Delray. She has very well done 5.3L swap. It is owned and built by my friend who is building my engine.

When that much contained power looses or breeches contain it is catastrophic.

I saw a crash similar to this one other time. It was probably 12 years ago. Two outlaw street cars, one got crossed up and went into the other lane. Somehow the out of control car's wheelie bars got tangled in the chute and destroyed both cars.

Rods/pistons and a really nice plate.
With a plate system on what you have you will be surprised how close you can get to your goal.

OK I have been watching all of the new Outlaw shows. It sounds like many of them are going back to 3 speed automatics. T-400's I would assume.

I think I heard one of them say they use the 400 but only 2nd and 3rd gears. The first gear is left completely out.

Found them. They're called Turbo-Glides.

This is pretty interesting.

But they specifically said 3 speeds. Then I heard doc say he launched in 2nd on a no-prep race track.

Yes it would if we prep the rods. Any more would take a set of Eagles.

Question is do you gap the rings for nitrous even though it’ll probly never happen....

CP- if you are considering going down this road on the bottle...get the Eagle rods. A solid bottom end is paramount to handling the squeeze
