Kinda depends. What kind of carb? Street or race?

He and I have been exchanging text about this.
He has an open plenum Torquer manifold on a basically stock engine with headers no converter. 1st :nono:
It is running a 650 double pumper mechanical secondary's....2nd :nono:
    Bog city.

Needs a good dual plane and a 600 Vac secondary. He can play with the Vac spring and get fair performance.

He was still shocked by how torquey that “little” injun was. ;)

nope. Crash pad. GM toyed with airbags in the development of the C4. But that pad is to cushion the blow of your noggin to the dash. There are actually kits to remove those.

Well fellas. I am the proud owner of a 1972 Pontiac Ventura. Original 350/350 auto car. May have to call upon another member to post pics, my app isn’t cooperating. Anyway, on to the specs.

73k original miles. It’ll need body work if I ever wanted it to be a show piece, but that’s not on the agenda for a while. It’s presentable enough for my needs. I talked the guy down to what I was willing to pay and I feel like I got a good deal on a running/driving project. Rusty was kind enough to come down south and pick me up, followed by a 3 hour trip up to Angola. We checked it out, I haggled, and drove away with a muscle car. Rusty followed me back down to the Fort, but then I was on my own for the 2+ hours plus back to my house. It drove cool with good oil pressure the whole way. Power steering. Power drum brakes. A whopping 7 mpg. You’ll see why below.

Here’s the list of upgrades it has that I’ve been able to spot so far:
Edelbrock Torker Single Plane intake (it’s going away)
Holley 650 mechanical double pumper (probably going away)
    Hooker Long Tube Headers
    Full exhaust
CPP Upper and lower tubular controls arms w/ coilovers up front
QA1 adjustable shocks on the rear
    Subframe connectors
    B&M floor shifter
Based on rpm and wheel size, it’s got a 3.90 gear out back (probably going away)

All that and a price tag WELL below $4k.
