I am surprised there is not a thread on this...One of the antagonist was wearing a London Fog trench coat...Isn't that appropriating English culture?????? What is really funny about the video is the kids britches....I mean if she would have went after him for wearing a combination of Gaucho/Clown pants I may have sympathized with her....

She's a #@%€ing idiot. Dreadlocks have been worn for centuries....by WHITE people. So while she probably is attributing it to a particular Caribbean culture, she's overlooking Celtic, Norse, Germanic, and Nordic cultures which existed well before. Nevermind the fact that black women that straighten their hair could be accused of cultural appropriation, as well.
I'd say arrest her for assault, but she needs to be arrested for epic stupidity.

His defense isn't very effective. He's still accepting that "cultural appropriation" is a valid reason to prohibit various behaviors. I just want the anit-cultural appropriation movement to be consistent and condemn Beyonce for dying her hair blonde.

Or, instead, just stop all the whining altogether, and stop trying to promote the idea that just because a culture adopts some behavior, or appearance, that they own it forever, and no one else can do it. I doubt Beyonce died her hair to try to appropriate white culture. She probably just likes the way it makes her look. There's no more cultural harm in her straightening and dying her hair blonde than white people wearing their hair in dreadlocks.

In the new town of INGO we are creating I not only want Kut to be in charge of Border Patrol to determine which Latin ladies come in to town but I also propose that he be given some kind of input into our laws.....

This is America...We mix it up....

Bill Monroe took Scots Irish fiddle tunes, mixed it with blues licks he learned from Arnold Schultz, a black rail road worker he would hang around with as a kid and created Bluegrass music.....Watch Bill Monroe play mandolin some time and it's like watching Robert Cray's hands move. Same blues licks, just a different instrument....I heard Bill Monroe say one time that he and Arnold played dances together on the same stage...He said "The dances might have been segregated (they played to all black or all white audiences at dances around Rosine) but we weren't segregated on the stage...We would play all night sometimes..."
