Demonetize - Goal is to cut off any financial backing an individual may have, and hope this lack of revenue diverts their attention into other efforts. The "adpocalypse" on YouTube is one such example. Others include removing people from payment processing services altogether.

Deplatform - Most direct and devastating. Remove an individual from as many services as possible. You see a removal from one platform tends to create a cascade of bannings that removes them from multiple others. Notable examples are Milo, Gavin McInnes, Sargon of Akkad.
