Hate to break it to you, Bog, but those people are already going back and forth across the border unmolested. Sometimes with the help of the feds. That's been going on for decades.
And sometimes with firearms

Already done cough**Fast & Furious**coughI have the perfect compromise. If we can't stop the amnesty, we should give them all guns, like you can't become an American citizen without owning some guns. This way we create more of us.
You are so right. This is the direction we need to go. Although it seems instead we make it more desirable for them to come here illegally with each passing day.The need for some impenetrable wall or fence would be significantly reduced if there were less desire for those folks to want to move up here. If they knew there'd be no freebies and no jobs available without going through the proper channels, I would think this would be far more manageable. And employers hiring these folks should be held accountable as well.
I have no problems with some sort of reform that would make it easier for people wanting to legally come here to work or immigrate use and/or comply with. I do not support open borders and we should insist the rule of law be followed.
An orderly immigration system is vastly different than a wall/fence with a minefield stretching the whole distance of the border with armed guards? What's wrong with just wanting an orderly immigration system where you know who is coming in? My relatives came in via Ellis Island. It wasn't free to come in and didn't prevent immigration at all.
Any of you guys ever worked in the fields all day? Planting,picking,weeding....ever carried a bundle of shingles Up a ladder or lay them on a hot roof?
Have you fought in a foreign land for a country that your not a citizen of?
Next time you go to the grocery I hope you appreciate the people that break their backs, sweat their balls off so you can live an easy life.

I'm full well and aware they are. I certainly don't want to make it any easier, and everyone here would agree it should probably be made more difficult for such to get through.Hate to break it to you, Bog, but those people are already going back and forth across the border unmolested. I've done most of those, including working in a grocery store. I did the jobs that, for some reason, many think Americans won't do.
So, where is our appreciation?
So pardon for breaking the law for illegally entering the US is an executive power. I don't think that Constitutional executive power to pardon breaking a law extends to granting US citizenship.Amnesty/pardon is a purely executive action. Almost nothing the legislative branch can do about it... .

I'm sorry that people chose to break the law to come here. I'm sorry that these illegal immigrants are exploited. But most of all I'm sorry that people think these law breakers should be rewarded.
