Shouldn't poke fun at the coasties. All these years of protecting our beaches and nobody has stole them yet.

Of the four plus one branches (never made a Coast Guard joke... yet), I've found that Marines have the least appreciation for my humor when I, clearly a civilian, make with the jokes. The best is that knowing this, and knowing that I risk injury or worse, I continue to crack wise. I'm just not that smart.

You know why the call the Marines Jar Heads? When you hold them up to the light you can see right through...how else do a group of folks think charging uphill into a machine gun nest is a good idea?

As for the Coasties; we work with them too. They're great for hauling targets out into the Great Lakes for targets...and retrieving them before they go into Canadian waters and create an international incident.

When we hunted one errant target down at the end of they day they wanted to know if they could break out the 12ga shotguns and shoot them up. Took hours to get permission after the Army and AF had been shooting at them all day with 30mm, Hellfire and Mavericks. LOL.
