I was trying to post a meme where Hans Solo walked into a room expecting dinner, instead saw Darth Vader.
He didn't gawk or hesitate, he drew and fired.
Be like Hans.

But, it had a curseword in it, i was posting from my phone, and I thought I had an edited version.
But it wasn't.

Sigh.

Both the magnetic detonator, and the manual firing pin would regularly fail.
And that's not even counting the stuck rudders that would force the torp into a circle.
Problem being, the end of a circle, is the beginning. Usually resulting in the loss of boat and every man aboard.

A salesman comes out to the mill and says' "trust me" I get hot under the collar.
I usually have more experience with their gear than they have.

So we just went through a $80-100 million upgrade.
One of the upgrades was to our EMLI (pronounced Emily, Electro Magnetic Level Indication)
Production boss that put in for the upgrade was waxing on about how great it was going to be.
I told him, dont trust 'em when they say it "won't rust, bust, or collect dust".
Here we are, at $400,000 and two weeks after everything else works. They only get it to work, if they put the old software in.
It upgraded 1 capability out of a dozen.
And performs the others worse.

At a meeting, there were raised voices.
RAISED.
