Shhh... you don't know how the game works. We all understand that the bags are full when they leave the factory, and the empty air space comes as they settle and break into tiny pieces in the bottom; but we're all supposed to pretend that the companies just put air in there on purpose to screw with us. Makes it much more funny.

Actually the air space is supposed to keep the chips from being broken, but rough handling can certainly overcome that.

And why not? People want stuff and comfort NOW. Investing in a real relationship and raising kids is not comfort, involves stuff for others (not yourself), and is damned expensive. A good number of social media/game addicts don't have the desire (or attention span) to bring new people into a contributing role to society. Delayed gratification? What's that?

They seem to forget that tomorrow's problems will be solved by tomorrow's people.
