They should fire the editor too. It is his responsibility to know what spits out of the printing press. There was a day when the first run of papers printed was actually read by a human being before they hit the streets. Where have all the professional journalist gone?
Editor - do your job! You're responsible for what ends up in peoples hands to read.
Journalist - report the news, not your opinion (apparently not the issue this time).
Proofreader - your job is more than using spellcheck.
Fact Checker - Wikipedia and Google are not reliable sources for checking facts.
Typesetter - hope you are enjoying retirement in Florida. Did the ink ever come out of your skin?
