You know how sensitive some are when I call them Communist!

Some still believe that sane Democrats exist?

Tulsi is as close to a real Democrat and you see what they (msm and dnc) did to her.
I jokingly call them commies, but while acknowledging that sane Democrats do exist. I’m hoping that this is the context in which you call them all commies. Because you already acknowledged one. Tulsi is a real Democrat. Still. She was the DNC chairperson just a few years ago for ****sake! So I’m hoping you’re not living in that world of all or nothing. It’s just a fantasy.

Tulsi quitting the DNC chair because of the partisan corruption doesn’t mean she’s no longer a democrat. It may be true that there are far fewer “sane” democrats than in years past. There may be a day when the sane ones have all fled the party. And judging from the debate the other night, there are no sane ones left in the running for President. But not all democrats support the socialist wing of the party.

I’m not saying this to defend democrats. I’m saying it because I respect the reality that actually exists.

Burnie is on fire lately. It will be interesting to see how things shape up after Super Tuesday and to see if Bloomy can gain some ground with all his money or if Sanders can keep carrying the momentum.

All I know is all kinds of hell will be sure to break loose if the DNC tries to burn Burnie again.
If there were a single non-socialist choice, that would be the hotter ticket. Bernie has his cult-following. The rest of the democrats split their vote between whoever’s left. The problem with the primary system is that not all the candidates are viable in every state by the time of the last primary. So the cult candidate has a big advantage in such a system because he’ll rack up the delegates, while the rest of the electorate is still sorting out the opposition, as the weaker candidates drop out.

Bernie wouldn’t be this strong if it were between just Bernie against the strongest contender. If the democrats were all in for a socialist, he would have a majority of support in the polls. He’s the only open socialist candidate.

And the Democrat/Media Complex will declare it Trump's fault.

    Now we’re getting personal? :dunno:

I make a distinction between Republicans and Trump Supporters who “think” they are Republicans. Trump Supporters + People who think they are Republicans = Trumplicans. Is there a personal inference in the hybrid word? Anyone offended by it? I would hope not, even for those with thin skin.

I believe they are many people who identify as a Democrat that are sane the problem being when you are associated with Socialist.
Unless someone comes out of left field or the DNC kneecaps him Bernie is the pick and a devout Socialist. A party and it’s members cannot claim they are not Socialist when they are led by a Socialist.

I disagree with the premise that Bernie is a outlier and that if only a moderate existed with cohesive support that Bernie would be stopped. The Democrats are making a choice and the choice is far left Socialist in fact with a wide band of supporters. Bernie is outperforming predictions in every demographic including Ol Joe’s firewall.

So how can a person identify as a Democrat and believe in America?

    BTW
We all need to worry about the economy is Bernie is nominated smart people will start moving money in order to protect themselves in a event of a Bernie administration. If he would actually become President the U.S. would plummet into a economic desert and be a very different life than we know now.

I believe the primary reason is an educational system designed to produce socialists and to be ignorant about the legitimate benefits of Western Civilization, the American founding and the Constitution. The system is succeeding as designed.

You fellas need to hold a meeting and decide whether a university can produce socialists in America if you strenuously object to calling Sweden a socialist country.

I think the tide has turned. This morning's Meet the Press had the political "experts" treating Bernie differently than in the past.
I believe they are seeing his success building and are reluctently getting on board and talking him up as the only candidate with a message and capable of beating Trump. They are afraid of being wrong again and the loss of credibility will cancel their expert card.
Only Jame Carville is still saying he has no chance.

When we speak of the Nordic Semi Socialist societies as a people they are far more disciplined than we are. The systems of government actually take pride in being thrifty and working toward the common good. Corruption and bribery are not common and the countries involved are relatively small and virtually ethnic pure with little immigration.

The high tax rate and government control would be unnatural to Americans. Free college sure no problem take a test in high school score high enough free college. Wait didn’t score high enough the state is not going to waste money on you the state has selected tree trimming as your job. Welcome to Socialism !

Oh. Okay. So you're thinking in terms of the no-true-scotsman purity test. Well, no. A Republican is a person who is either a registered member of the Republican Party, or identifes as, and typically vote for, republican candidates. This includes people people who vote for and support President Trump. Go look at the GOP website. It's pretty Trumpian if you ask me. The party has changed.

My advice is not to put much faith in political parties. Just be an issue-by-issue voter. That way you don't feel disloyal when you find something critically wrong with your own side.

Nevertheless, my complaint was that at the time of the quoted post, I thought we were gonna try not using words like Dumbocrats or Trumplicans, but apparently that's obviously not the case. So **** it.

One small point, I have not said I would not use the word dumocrap. I have done it before (I have seen me do it) and there is a finite possibility I will do it again. :)

Got any more on the distinction? I know I am a Republican but I kinda wanna be a Trumplican too. Am I ruled out by being a Republican?
