I don’t, and I’m too lazy to look it up.

The Jacobins were the most radical and ruthless of the political groups formed in the wake of the French Revolution, and in association with Robespierre they instituted the Terror of 1793–4. They guillotined over 17000 people in a push for ideological purity. It could be argued they became intoxicated by the absolute power of life and death, and predictably at the end they turned on each other

If you haven't had enough schadenfreude yet, there's this: Iowa mess gets worse: Analysis finds inconsistencies in over 100 official caucus-site reports

    An excerpt or two:
Changes to caucus rules this year included locking in support on the first alignment for candidates who met a 15% viability threshold, meaning that it should be impossible for candidates who met 15% on the first alignment to have a smaller number of votes on the final alignment. The analysis found at least 10 instances where a candidate viable on the first alignment lost support on the final alignment, which would not be possible under correctly-followed caucus procedures.

In at least 70 precincts, there are more votes recorded for the final alignment than on the first alignment, which should also not be possible since no more caucus goers are allowed to join a precinct after the start time at 7 p.m

If I were either Sanders or Buttigieg I would do everything I could to hold a joint press conference, have us both declare an equal tie, smile and be friendly, then move on to the next state.

We could be united to thank the voters for their tremendous dedication to the process, emphasize how important it is to turn out and vote, and gain some nice happy time with the public and media.

Let the Iowa democratic party sort out the mess. We could move on to other states and look statesmenlike. This would help unify the democratic party and show how nice we are.

To my thinking this would be the easiest marketing decision in the world. Free press, good press, feel good message, get out the vote message, and don't get tied down.

It would slam Joe Biden as sour grapes and hurt his campaign.

    Just my :twocents:.

    Regards,

    Doug

Joe's last chance is an endorsement from Obama, it's now or never.

And the rumor is Obama is leaning toward endorsing Warren

Bernie going to get screwed again, and I think that's going to cause a similar rift with Democrats much like Trump did with Republicans.
Oh ****. Joe’s gonna get the, “I never really loved you, I was just using you” bit. Dang, that’s harsh.
