Amen. It is also a good lesson for us all. Shooting with my weak hand is something I used to do regularly but not nearly enough.88, it is very impressive, the way you have been working through your physical setback. My hat is off to you sir!

My apologies. I forget that not everyone has a lot of mags. I also hate loading mags at the range. I also hate doing mental gymnastics at the range. That's another reason I only load 10 rounds. If I bring x number of mags it's easy to figure out how many rounds I have expended. Also easy to limit yourself. Bring 30 loaded mags and you will only shoot 300 rounds. I have to keep it simple because I'm not very bright.

Buy mags until you think you have enough, then buy some more.
Don't waste money on CZ factory mags. Mecgar, unless this has changed recently, makes the CZ factory mags so pay less and get the same thing.
Enlighten me for a moment though.Indeed. It is also addictive for the reason you state. Not much fun shooting a stock gun after a while.
When the Wizard and I would get a stock gun it would only go to the range once. That was just to test function, accuracy, etc. Once that is accomplished there really isn't any point.
When you have a couple of extra dollars lying around you should invest in a couple 26 rounders. We like to end our range trips with mag dumps and 26s really make it fun.I was actually on there ordering more mags as you were posting this.

If a guy was going to run a stock DA/SA CZ handgun, which one "stock" would be the best out of the box to do so with?
Maybe something with the Omega trigger is what I was thinking?
Always a good investment. I was just throwing that out there for something to think about. There was a time when the Phantom, as the HD gun, sported 19+1 with two 26s as backup mags. I figured that would be enough for any late night uninvited guests.I was looking at those. Invested in more 16 and 19 round mags this time.
That's an excellent plan.Morning all this talk of shooting has me all worked up. My current stable of CZ's is just 2 the SP-01 tactical and a P-01. I have about 600 rounds through the SP-01. This gun was purchased new and is currently stock. The P-01 has around 1000 rounds down the pipe I picked it up from GregD. It is also a stock gun with the exception of a set of TFX sights. I had always planned on a minimum of a 1000 rounds before having any work done on either gun. I'm right at the point where I'm ready to order the Pro kit from CGW and letting the Wizard work his magic. I believe the P-01 will be first.
Beautiful weather all weekend. I ended up sleeping outside Friday night because it was too nice by the fire to go back inside.
And, it saves ammo, and prolongs the fun.

Better to ask the Wizard that question. He's the technical expert.BA - I’ll add to this request for enlightenment. If you took a non-Omega trigger and just installed a race hammer would the creep be eliminated (edit: significantly reduced).

I just talked to CGW about this a week ago. Get the race hammer, sear and the appropriate disconnector.
I have been contemplating this direction for the RAMI but haven't decided yet and, given T-dogg's previous trigger preference comments, I would think a similar set-up might be a minimalist approach to a good performing trigger.
Just thinking out loud...
So...hand the gun to the Wizard and ask him to make it sing.
Got it. I will stop thinking...
