Loading magazines now entails getting out a 350 round box and a couple of 50's. I might have taken the mag thing a little too far.

We will be downsizing the house. Whenever our house in FL sells we will buy one here that costs about half of what our current one does. We can still get a nice house for that price. Our current house is just too darn expensive. I have been reading a lot of financial books lately and like Travis we have a plan. My goal is similar to his as far as getting some land (20+/-acres seems ideal) out in the country a bit to live a little more freely. I'd also like to be able to retire comfortably at 60. It requires a lot of discipline but from what I gather having the money to do these things is mostly about discipline. Do what is smart and the money really won't be an issue. Easier said than done though.

You fellas are young enough to put these plans in effect and benefit from them.
At my age I am just running and gunning my way through the rest of my viable time. You know....pre adult pampers and all.......:oldwise:

I just had all the non-1911 mags out to be coded. Double white dots. Damn it there are a lot of mags.

It takes right at 4 50's to load the P-09 mags......

Yes. I can't believe it either.

My 5 month plan is to be rid of CC and medical debt.
My 6 month and on plan is to aggressively attack my 2nd mortgage.
My 5 year plan is to be rid of my 2nd mortgage, both car loans (wife pays one of these) and put the house up for sale.

End goal is sell our current house, then have enough money freed up monthly to allow a nicer house in the country with my own land to shoot on and enjoy the outdoors instead of dealing with the neighbors being right on top of us and their constant shenanigans.

I can't do any of this if I keep spending ALL my money on a never ending game of musical guns, optics, and gear.
I can however reward myself occasionally with a well thought out purchase of something necessary and fulfilling, instead of a price based impulse buy, also known as "too good a deal to pass up".

That's a solid plan Travis. It's easy to get caught up in the 'It's too cheap to pass up' deal. I've done a bunch of those myself, but in the end, I generally end up selling for a loss. Heck, I even had a very brief moment of that with that green P01 earlier today. Very brief. There will be plenty of time to buy stupid stuff to shoot on your own range down the road when you are on your own chunk of land.
