Holy Cow! Was just looking at BA's 75B in .40. That's one of those guns that come around once in a lifetime. Time to take a really good look at the collection today. There must be something in there that can be moved quickly.

Morning all. Bj, you are right. I think I have the itch for my first 1911. I started thinking that if stuff really did go down, like the collapse of society and all, would I want to carry a CZ? They aren't super popular so spare parts availability may not be great. I started asking myself what gun would fill that role best. G***ks were the first thing that came to my mind. There are so many darn 19s, 23s, 26s, 27s etc. laying around it wouldn't be any problem coming across spare parts. Didn't really want the plastic fantastic though so I was a little stumped. I thought about it for a while and it came to me, a 1911! They have been popular for years and years so they are everywhere. Pretty simple and reliable. I think I have a winner!

Oops. Ever have one of those times where you can't seem to keep your mouth shut? I had one this morning. Long story short, four day weekend! Not the way I wanted though....

    Of course you do.
I love my CZ's. They are stellar performers. Easy to shoot and reliable/accurate to a fault.
"But"...............Nothing fits in my hand like a 1911.
All of mine a full monti hot rods.

Same with the CZ's.......life is far to short for stock triggers.

You can never go wrong by choosing a 1911. As much as I love CZs, the 1911s in the collection are just a tad higher in the order of rank.

I tend to be a bit stubborn, that doesn't help. I also hold a lot of stuff in, that further compounds the issue... Oh well, I've got a project I'm been wanting to complete for some time now and have been lacking motivation/time. Today seems to have freed up, gonna try to get as much done on that. At least it's a paying job so no loss there.

On a gun related note, you all make really good arguments for a 1911... I had several at one time, but when I started not shooting them very well and was shooting my CZs so much better, I decided it was time to move on. I later found out it most likey was not me at all, but a problem with the guns... Both issues figured out by a 1911 genius. :)

I will have another someday, it will be much sweeter than the ones that came before it.

We've all had those kind of days. Good to hear that you are making the best of the new found time off.

I have been doing a lot of thinking about my direction when things pick back up.
I would love to have a few wooden military pieces. It might be time to replace the ones my 1st "X" absconded away with.

Must be going around. I too have the "right to remain silent"... but as Ron White would say, I don't always have the ability! Yesterday near the end of the day was definitely one of those days. Oy.

I decided to buy BA's 75B in .40 and keep it in the family. I've been lusting after that gun for some time and with a birthday coming up in a couple of weeks, could not let that one slip away. I'm kind of uber-excited right now. :):
