    Morning all.
I placed an order late last night for AR parts, going with an all BCM 16" rifle except for the stripped lower. Got the Palmetto rifle kit spoken for, once I get the AR pistol kit sold it will be all down hill from there. This checks off the list the second big thing I wanted to do this winter, first was internally polishing the CZs.

Well, that didn't take long. :)

I have RBH .357, .41, .45, and SBH .44 mag., you can fondle, and shoot, if you want .....

and a .44 Mag., Marlin lever action .....
I may take you up on that someday. I'd like a matching set of Vaqueros, originally I wanted them in .45 Colt, but rethinking this... I've already got a .357, so it makes more sense in terms of cost of ammo to go that way...

    Morning folks! :coffee:

Congrats Tom! Have fun with the new gig.

T-D, when I polished the internals on my SP01C/40, I polished to a mirror finish, cold blued the parts and then polished again with 000 steel wool to bring up an even better shine. So far, it seems to be giving good results as the gun has a silky feel that none of my other ones that I've polished have. My thinking was that the cold blue would hold oil a bit better but we'll see how that turns out in the long run.

    Interesting process. Keep us informed.

Thanks Tim. Similar to starting at most large companies, I have pretty much no access and no hardware so far. Hopefully that will be resolved at some point today.

Thanks for the tip. I used 2000 grit sandpaper and/or polishing compound with my dremel. Results seemed about the same with paper or polish.

I'm a big fan of slip2000 extreme weapons grease. It comes in a syringe so I can distribute into small areas. Really slicks things up. I use their oil in other places that doesn't call for grease.
