Oh wow. WOW. I think you just raised the bar on BA's "Beast". I *love* this. What are your plans for it?? This could end up being SUCH a cool sleeper with some CGW love, FO sights, and maybe some new grips. This is REALLY cool!!
Sleeper is the plan. I don't really want to change the look of it. Grips are cracked and I may replace them. Lanyard ring is staying. I'm not aware of different sight options at this point for a pre b, paint will have to do. I'll see what the experts think when we get together, I really don't think it needs anything internally. She's pretty smooth.

Congrats Rusty! That's pretty darn cool. I'm amazed at how clean it is inside. It looks like it was stored in a cement mixer while in use, but internally, it looks near new.

Oh, almost forgot. I finished the project 1911 for my nephew tonight with a visit to the laser engraver out in Plainfield. I had Indy Laser Engraving do the work and could not be happier with the results. He's a great guy to work with and is a combat vet to boot. I am very happy with the results. Here are a couple of quick shots that I'll only leave up for a day or two just to make sure my nephew does not get a glimpse before I take it down to him. He's on his way back from his last deployment and should be home soon.

The blurriness is cause by a cell phone photo. The actual logo is beautifully done.
