Sure is, nice little peep hole that they give you to the firing pin safety plunger hole. The rear sight originally covers it. Don't worry, I'll be fabricating a filler piece for that area, because it looks horrible to me.

Had a chance to have the one I just got milled and declined for now. With the RO and that big adjustable sight, I'd have lost the sight and not sure there would have been room for another, and I'm not 100% that I'm going that far down the 1911 road.

Between the little bit down the 1911 road and the Hi Power road, I really like the Hi Powers. That said, I don't have much time behind this 1911.

Oh I get it now, stacc is Italian for stack, and ato is Italian for double.

But mine might be considered a cheater. The slide isn’t milled and I used a mount plate that replaces the rear sight in the dove tail. It was my first red dot and I wasn’t sure if I’d like it so I didn’t want to make permanent changes to the slide. I got a little crazy and that gun is no longer together. The Citadel slide is on the double stack Para now. The Citadel frame now wears a Remington R1 Enhanced slide. I’ve considered having the slide milled for a proper red dot fitment and probably will someday down the road. I might be more interested in having the P01 milled first.

Years ago a friend of mine celebrated “Talk like a pirate day” with his kids by calling his brother (kids’ uncle) and talking in a pirate voice. They all talked like pirates for 30 minutes before he realized the person on the other line wasn’t his brother. It was a stranger and he called the wrong number! True story.
