    I guess I should clarify. The return on investment is not there for me. Could I come up with the money, yes absolutely. I choose not to though. My nicest and most expensive handgun cost less than half of the 2011 I was considering building ($2500-$3000).
    Friend I visited over the w/e showed me a new bobtailed Tisas 1911 that was surprisingly well fit up. And very reasonable.

    More playing around on the mill with my practice slide. Instead of doing a flat top, I decided to use my 1/4" ball nose end mill. First cut straight down the middle, rotated the head 45 degrees one way, cut that side, 45 degrees from center the other way and made the last cut. Depth is .020" on each. It was probably the most fun I've had on this mill and was actually pretty damn simple to do. This will definitely be going into production on one of the SS guns.
