    It came early!!

I'm very impressed with the gun. Feels good in the hand, fit and finish is nice. Especially for under $700. The trigger has some take-up, but it breaks very nicely. View attachment 314399
Don't change a single thing on it. It's perfect the way it is. But if you do, we're here to help. ;)

A little mill action tonight. Trued up the previous flat top and ball cuts on the Dan Wesson. I can't find the before picture, but the 3 ballcuts weren't centered in the flat top cut, and it's been bothering me forever. Not anymore. Also added a thin edge serration on each side of the flat top, for an extra personal touch.

Since I was in the mood, I also dehorned the ejection port. Next I'll be doing the ballcut on each side and reworking the lower bevel a little bit too. Then I'm having AllenM cerakote it again in the same color, stone grey. This will give this Churchmouse gun a cleaned up look and have some of my soul added into it as well.

After @Born2vette shamed me on the maintenance of my BIG deck, I broke my own promise and purchased a new tool !
I'm going to use this impact driver (my first) to make repairs. I've actually wanted one for quite a while.

I love it when the Amazon man brings something for me !

No deer seen this evening, doesn't sound like Jagee is seeing many either.
I've seen 2 deer all year (other than in the fields while driving) and I shot 1 of them.

My property is small and I'm slowly building habitat to get more deer around. I've seen more on camera this year so it seems like I'm headed in the right direction.

Many diss grafted ornamental pear trees, but the secret is to shape them early in their life. I planted this Bradford pear about 12 years ago, as a 6' B&B tree.
It's now about 30' feet tall, and has withstood ice storms, and 75mph winds. It's never lost a single branch.

Just took this photo late this afternoon. I'm especially fond of it's autumn color.
