    In the country, hopefully.
I’m less than two hours away from bidding ending on my “dream truck” * where I’ll either let it slip by or own it. It’s already past my self imposed limit but “just one more bid”…..

I have scored some bargains, and a few not-so-bargains over the last couple of years on this auction site. Finding stuff from a good home is key to me.

*dream truck is kinda like a dream gun, it could change in a couple of months. (But if it does I’ll be sleeping in it for sure!)

Also, no pictures until it happens.

I guess the pricing is for UAW members and I assume they get a discount as well...

"UAW workers will receive a wage hike of 11% upon ratification and 25% in wage hikes through April 2028"
The FW GM plant voted against ratification....

I'll be lucky to see a 10% increase through 04/2028. Maybe -10% at the rate I am going.

I'm in Cincinnati today seeing a specialist.
    The whole day shot basically.

Of course you cannot have any weapons in a hospital including a 2.75" pocket knife of all things.
However, I'm not defenseless thanks to Cold Steel.

This cane is solid, and very supportive as well, and it's just a cane therefore allowed in all medical, and I believe even government building.

Yep, nobody will give it a second look.

I managed to pick up 4 new camera's this week. One was a Canon A-1 while I was down in Raleigh. I picked 3 more up today. 2 more A-1s listed as parts only and a nice little Canon TLb (circa 1974) that looks barely used for $25.

I've also found a source for factory service manuals for everything I have right now, which includes Canons (FT, FTb, TLb, AE-1, F-1N and A-1), Pentax (Spotmatic) and Yashica (J-7 and FX-2). The cool thing is that I found a correspondence course for becoming a camera repairman from around 1980. That's going to take a while to get through as it really gets to the minutia of camera theory and repair.

    Did CZ make cameras?

I just bought 6 more cameras for $29. Some of these will be discarded as they are early electronic camera bodies (T70) that had old batteries leak onto the boards. One or two might be useful for disassembly/reassembly practice though.
