The 2.0 M&P's are much better than 1.0 IMO. Even better than 1.0 with the Apex RAM kit. I sold a 1.0 with a RAM kit installed for that very reason.

Going to see what Allen can do on the Hi Power.
Don't say RAM around him. He will have cannon flashbacks and get excited and put someone's eye out

First thing we’d do when grabbing our rifles out of the armory was tape up the fiber. Especially at the range when shooting the 500m. I wanted the optic dead.

Shooting both eyes open was weird at first but it becomes super instinctual with a little bit of practice…

And now I want an acog…
    Crap!
I never have been an acog fan. As soon as I made E5 I got to pick whatever optic I wanted and I switched to eotech and never looked back. Something fun about shooting bad guys through a red buthole with cross hairs.
But I'll agree that those acogs are bombproof

Just dropped it off with Allen. He's going to fit a C&S trigger in it first and then go from there. He agreed the reset in mine was nonexistent to strange compared to how even his started. That said, he said trigger pull weight wasn't bad (said his started out at like 9lbs).

The reset and pull in his that he's put a lot of cylinder and slide internals in was really nice.

We'll see in a few weeks how it is. If the trigger doesn't get it where he thinks it's good, may do more with it.
HP's just due to the nature of the design really don't have a reset as we've come to expect it from most other guns, there's some things you can do to shorten the take up and 'reset' but you'll never get that real tactile 'click' we see in other guns.

Yeah, I kind of figured that, and that's why I wanted a more educated set of eyes on it. Comparing mine to Allen's was night and day. He even said while my trigger weight started off much better than his did before he worked on it that the let out on the reset was just odd and felt strange. The take up and let out just seemed really long on mine and I was constantly hunting for that "reset". It's possible I could train out of it, but even though I'm not a trigger snob, life's too short to put up with that trigger if I can get it corrected for relatively low cost and then I can train on it.

You'll never get a reset per se but with the C&S trigger he should be able to account for some of the fore and aft travel, I'm going to put a stronger trigger return spring in mine, something like that might make it feel a bit better to you as well.

Anybody see the new Kimber KDS9C, this might entice me to buy a Kimber, looks like a poor mans Wilson Combat SFX9.

I checked it out at the NRA show. My nephew with me really wants a Wilson Combat SFX9/EDC9 for his daily carry. “Poor man’s Wilson Combat” were almost his exact words when he picked up the Kimber. It looks well built. Fit and finish is nice and on par with what Kimber is known for. Optics ready too which is nice. The big difference I noticed is that the grip/frame is aluminum and it seemed a bit thicker than the WC but that may just be my perception, I don’t have measurements. The WC grip feels better to me. It’s a lot of the same features for half the price.

After we got back I showed him my P01. Compact, full metal frame, double stack, 15 rounds 9mm, hammer fired, good trigger, pic rail. And told him CZ was 20+ years ahead of the curve and at a much better price point. I’ll make a believer of him eventually. (I also advised him to look at the Staccato C2 if he’s thinking about spending big bucks)
