I fondled the K98 a little bit ago. It's gonna come out soon. Many times I've thought about selling it, but as soon as I hold that rifle I set it right back in the safe.

I am in a blackpowder mood. I have wanted a flintlock for a few years, I should make that my next goal. Would like both a rifle and pistol. Think it would be lots of fun.

Yup. It will need an up-grade on the grip and possible re-color as the hand guard is Armorors brown from another AR.

I put a Magpul K2 grip on my pistol. I love it, more like a 1911 angle.

Normally, the third weekend in January is pretty quiet. It is also sometimes pretty cold too. If it were under 15 degrees, with blowing snow, it would be perfect for getting a Finnish Mosin out. I imagine an M1 Carbine or two has seen some winter action before too. Heck, maybe even a Nagant revolver or 1911 could be coaxed out of the safe on a cold winter day.

Who knows where my k98 saw action. It's a vet bring back with no story. 1940 production, so it could have seen lots of action.

I don't have any experience with them, but I think I've seen them in the $250 ballpark.
