I shook churchmouse's hand the other day after we met for a sale, and now I've spent the last two days researching CZs. In his defense I was at USDS before I met up with him. Been looking at the SP-01 Tactical.

Yes we did and we would have chatted a bit longer but it was cold....very cold.....:)

The sub rocks in my shop. Completes the system in there.

    Morning folks! :coffee:

I have a new appreciation for Stainless CZ 75B's... and my Dillon Blue Press monthly

I got my copy yesterday and have to admit that I did not notice the CZ until IGM pointed it out. I paid a whole lot of attention to that cover too.

Careful with CM. The force is strong with that one.

Hey Rusty, on the bright side, you probably have a decade, maybe two of relatively stable vision. Once corrected, you should see little change for years. The downside is that once you get past the ages that start with the number 4, things go south. Bifocals will be needed because your eyes just don't focus up close like they used to. You'll be fighting against having to choose to see the front sight with targets an indistinct blur, or a decent target focus, but with a fuzzy blob waving in front of it where your front sight used to be.

To that, add the fact that when you do get a decent set of bifocals that cost what a decent pistol sets you back, you'll find they only last a year or two before you need a new pair. And, there is a zero dollar value on reselling glasses.

Those are my happy thoughts for the morning. :):

This is why I generally shoot better with "Point & Shoot" techniques as I can no longer hold a sight/target picture.
Glasses/Lasik will not fix this either.

As to the SP01........you will not go wrong with that gun.
I have a much loved on Phantom and it is a serious shooter. Runs like a deer. Accurate as any gun I own.

Of course it is far from out of the box stock.

I was relatively lucky, I made it to 46 before I started having problems focusing up close. Now I'm so bad that when I sit down to work at the computer after just having woke up, I need to wear my readers for the first hour or two until my old eyes can focus well enough on their own. Even then I still need the readers for focusing on anything closer to me than a foot or so... :(

IMO that is too much for an old gun.

yeah, especially with that stippling job.
I would consider that as damage - not an improvement.
Should have just used grip tape or something.

the grips & springs are a nice feature and do add something, but yeah it's a little much.
Now that I have a fully Cajunized/Wizardized gun I just look at this gun as a "starter kit"
