Lasers can be useful as a training tool for dry fire practice, but I would remove it for carry.
Never been a fan, but it's hilarious watching noobs at the range trying to hit the target with their fancy laser.
    Makes a good cat toy.

If it makes her happy, more power to ya. :twocents:

    Morning folks! :coffee:

I'm happy to hear that the spouse is liking her new blaster CM. It will be interesting to see if she keeps using the laser as she gets more comfortable with the pistol. I can understand how a laser can give a lot of confidence early on, but could also see where it might lose its appeal as skill with the pistol is earned. But, either way, if it gets her shooting, it's a win.

She has concerns about having to use the gun for its real intended purpose not for punching holes in paper.
Having to bring it to bear in a stressful situation is her concern. The laser will be helpful in this until as 88 mentions and you as well, her skill levels rise to make her confident.
I have a laser on the HD AR for this purpose. Staggering out of bed with sleep in my eyes is not a good thing. Knowing where I am pointing the SD piece without having to spend any time is a plus.
We have lights on most of the HD hand guns.
Just her seeing the laser come off POA when she dry fires turned on a light.
