    I'm so used to shooting my 1911's that it's hard to find a proper grip with another gun. I keep wanting to ride my thumb on the safety, which isn't a good idea when it's a decocker instead!

    That didn't take long as you did not start out with 1911's. I find a lot of new shooters (except for my daughter) prefer the 1911 over most other platforms for shooting. But don't want to carry them and therefore gravitate to other guns. I love shooting my 1911's but prefer to carry Tupperware guns over the 1911's myself.

    That didn't take long as you did not start out with 1911's. I find a lot of new shooters (except for my daughter) prefer the 1911 over most other platforms for shooting. But don't want to carry them and therefore gravitate to other guns. I love shooting my 1911's but prefer to carry Tupperware guns over the 1911's myself.

    I can carry a Glock/M&P or the like just fine, but feel like sticking with the platform I perform best with. May change my mind eventually, but right now a carry 1911 appeals to me. I still carry my Shield in the summer months, or when concealment is important.
