    That FR8 Mauser is so cool to. Sure it's a little rough around the edges, but perfect scout rifle starter pack. Being a long action Mauser it's tough as nails and will accept the repro 20 Rd trench mags that are available. A short scoped 20 Rd 7.62x51 :faint:.

    Keep in mind these rifles were designed for 7.62 NATO, not commercial .308 which has higher pressures. I've heard mixed things about the repop mags, such as the spot welds break loose, which is fixed by a few mig weld stitches. They were also deisgned for 8x57 Mauser which is longer, some people have reported feeding issues. It certainly would take a little work to get it perfect, but I think would make for a very fun project. Drill and tap the receiver for a scope mount and go have some fun.
