The second law of thermodynamics should allow you to predict the outcome of that stand against entropy, there Mr Quixote

I do find it amusing that you wish to abrogate the original meaning of coup d"Etat in favor of its current
usage, but you're against grammar entropy? Seems like some sort of temporal contradiction

The second law does not preclude transitional periods of higher organization. For, example, we have galaxies that have formed in the last 13 or so billion years.

As to the "coup" issue. You've translated the phrase from French and then called that a definition. You don't get to do that. There are any number of "borrowed" words from other languages that etymologically evolve.

Explain the regime change embodied in 'counting coup' (which I believe dates to The French and Indian War), or perhaps what a 'coup stick' has to do with overthrowing a government or leader :@ya:

Edit: How do we determine the etymologically correct meaning of an evolved word? Ask you which one you prefer I assume. I'd call circular reasoning if I could spot the reasoning. I shudder to think what you believe 'the resistance' means

I thought we were talking etymology, you know - word origins, the attempt to divine original meaning

Not that I rule out you might be an expert on misusing words or perverting their meanings when you find it supportive of your argument

I believe it is worse than you think. All the free **** is Chavez redux, designed to buy enough votes to achieve power; only our folks who believe themselves poor and put upon are the envy of most of the rest of the world

Yes. It is worse, they seem to have infiltrated INGO too.

Are the two mutually exclusive? And is there a causative correlation between the two, historically speaking?

    .

I would say so. Just like when people who say Trump is literally Hitler, it's equal disingenuous to place the ideas of American "Bernie" socialism on par with that of Soviet or PRC Socialism/Communism.

I don't get the Nickelback hate. It was part of my midlife crisis period so I liked their first CD, okay?? :p

We got tired of bands copying other bands. We let STP slip through the cracks in copying Pearl Jam, but there was no way that Creed clone, Nickelback, was gonna get past us. And FYI, not the biggest fan of Creed either.

Oh Jeez Kut, do you really believe you can pick up socialism by the clean end?

Absolutely. Capitalism and socialism can work hand in hand, with capitalism obviously being the more dominant. You just have to be vigilant that neither overtakes the other.

This smells a lot like a double standard. You seem to think reading the Rorschach test the way you have is sticky enough to go ahead with impeachment.

Your nose is broken then. You want to pin something on Obama, give the specific allegation and illustrate his personal involvement.

Hey, I said I was in my midlife crisis period, so besides working for a music club, most of what I heard was played by "gentleman's club" DJ's. :): I did like the one STP song (whose name escapes me now) that got some radio play.
