    Spectator Index reporting 30 dead.

Sentai Filmworks has set up a gofundme for the victims, currently over $330k

Scared to see what the result of all of this is going to be. For those that don't know KyoAni is known for very high quality anime and films.

Haruhi Suzumiya, Clannad, K-On!, Nichijou, Chunibyo among them. They also did the critically acclaimed Netflix anime "Violet Evergarden", and film "A Silent Voice", which was a big hit in the US.

Wow, GP - I saw the BBC reporting this morning. Crazy stuff.

Early reports (so 24 hour rule applies) say the arsonist doesn't appear to have any link to the studio. That's just crazy.

    From Kyoto Fire Dept:
    33 people dead, 12 men, 20 women, 1 unknown.
    36 in hospital/injured

In addition, NHK is also reporting that rescue efforts are finished. There's no one left in the building, either alive or deceased.

Attacker allegedly blocked exits and "camped" one remaining exit to kill as many as possible, armed with hammers/knives/gas.

This studio was for their younger talent being trained by the veterans. Essentially the future of their company.

I guess anime is super-popular in South America.

That's pretty solid, but because the guy on the left isn't 100% synchronized, it's going to result in an imperfect fusion.

I've seen some NFL players do anime stuff, like a "KameHameHa" motion after a touchdown

Oh, it really does look ghey. That's what I thought when I first saw it. But, then I read that it was an anime reference.

Also, dude on the right is actually NOT Adam Levine.

Just learned the origins of a line I heard in The Venture Brothers.

"Brando's got us on our bellies and he's reaching for the butter!"

Conversation on Bob & Tom this morning, Tom said a one-off line about Brando and butter.

    Looked it up.

So that was an interesting read.

I know to what you refer, and... yeah.

I think I downloaded it, but haven't watched it yet.
