dwordinger. Was that the new Winchester shell with the 000 "disk" shaped buck/shot combo designed specifically for the Judge? I saw them featured in yesterdays American Rifleman but didn't think they were available yet.

No, it was just plain ol' 000 buck. When I tried it, I don't think Winchester had the new self defense ammo available yet. And, as you haven noted, I still don't think they are available. Maybe in July.
More companies coming out with ammo specifically designed for the Judge. So little time to play with all the options. And even less money.

Bought the May issue of Shooting Times just to read about the Judge. Looks interesting. The OP got a good deal.
