It'll be hard to get any better than that TRP without spending $2k+

I had the line on a loaded converted to TRP. Told the seller I had cash in hand. He told me sold but deal not completed. I double checked and seller didn't respond. In the meantime another INGOer offered me another 1911. I snatched it up. Out of the blue the TRP seller emailed me because the first buyer jacked him around with Ol internet meet and offer less gig. It was all I could do not to buy it on the spot, but alas all my money was gone. And so ends the tale of VERT and his plight to purchase a Springer.

What are your thoughts on Dan Wesson and STI? I don't mind spending some cash to get good quality.

I almost bought a stainless dan wesson specialist. Sometimes I wish I had just went for it. But I like railed 1911s. I also have a couple that aren't railed

I have had both Dan Wesson (early and CZ) and STI guns. Both are fine guns for the money. Don't currently have either, but would not hesitate buying again if the wind blew me that way...
