That is false. There is simply no case law relating to such; in regards to firearms. The

It strikes me as curious, but if there is no statutory or case law in regard to signs prohibiting firearms, how do the aforementioned signs carry any force of law?

Quick brown fox jumped over the lazy dog.

    He was testing his keyboard.
I'll go with that. Or maybe he was posting on duty and had to go "lights on" real quick. I'm sure he'll finish making his point later. :dunno:

    Or....

Maybe he is taking over for Jake...
You know the Thin Blue Line thingy... :dunno:

Kutnupe doesn't strike me as one of those kind of guys. His position has long been that if you enter an establishment that is properly posted and you have a firearm, you will be escorted out and possibly taken away in cuffs.

For the record, I disagree with him, but he has held that position for quite some time.

There lies the rub. What constitutes "properly posted"?

A post-a-note on the front door with "No Guns" written in pencil? A big sign saying with a silhouette of a gun with a big red circle and slash, on only one door of multiple entrances into a building? A "No Guns" signs in a window, with a person standing in front of it? So on and so forth.

There is no statutory or case law that I can find for placement, or size, or type of such a sign.

Of course, there are some that believe that something is illegal, unless the government provides permission to do it.

    This.

    Laws do not grant rights.
Laws do not tell you what you can do, laws do not grant any rights.
Laws infringe on rights and attempt to limit behavior. Period.
Every new law is a further infringement on your rights.

There are exceptions to this. Castle Doctrine in 2006 codified what we already possessed and added additional protection from legal jeopardy.

SB1 passed in March of 2012 to restore the rights taken away by the Barnes Decision ISC 2011.

So laws CAN grant/enummerate/codify/restore rights that we already possess.

    I stand corrected. :yesway:

In some instances they restore rights that were removed by other laws.

Exactly. But the point is that now that so many crappy laws are on the books, not all new laws are going to be bad. Many laws are trying to get more of our rights restored.

For some dumb reason they still feel the need to regulate things and they can't all just be REPEALED
