I went to my friend amhenry's holster shop the other day to check out some of his cool new holster-making tools and took some time to use his soldering iron to stipple my M&P backstrap and mag release. It really makes a difference! The bark pattern gives nice side-to-side grip while still allowing my hand to get up high for a full firing grip. I also like the look of this pattern a lot. I don't really want to do the frame at this point since this was my first go at it and I don't want to mess it up. I found it to be a fun and gratifying activity and I'm probably going to buy a soldering iron so I can mess around with it more, trying different patterns. It was not hard to do and didn't take that much time.
