since im uninvited is there a spectator area nearby, ive never seen any of these guns bein shot b4 i think it would be a neat experience? i could only do saturday i have to play firefighter on sunday...

Limited space (yeah, I know how dumb that sounds, given the pictures, but we're talking about a fairly small range area) and facilities preclude any spectator areas. Unfortunately, you'll have to wait for the next NFA Day.

However, if it's anything like last year, TONS of photos and videos will abound! :D

I hope someday I can afford a place that scenic and nice.

It is a great place, but lovemywoods has put A LOT of blood, sweat, and tears into the property to make it what it is today. The previous owners only used it as a "summer property", so it didn't get all the attention it deserved.

Now the place is like a resort and I get down there on my days off whenever I can-- its like a free vacation (that feeds you! :D).

Here are some "work in progress" pics:

Now here will be a shock to those who have been down before. Here is the shooting range BEFORE it was a shooting range:

And about the same perspective, today:

Point being, thanks goes to lovemywoods for making it a nice place that we can (and will!) enjoy!

Just like I did last year, I wanted to post up some teaser pics of lovemywoods' range and setup to give everyone a taste of what's in store in just 3 weeks!

Having walked (climbed) that hill, it's amazing how decievingly flat it looks! All I can say is eat your Wheaties before tackling that one!

NFA Day is three weeks away!

After we’re done shooting, there will be time to eat and talk with one another about guns and such. Supper will be a pitch-in with ‘picnic’ food. I’d appreciate having the participants sign up to bring an item to help out. (The vendors are exempt since they’re busy bringing the hardware!) Most of the items in the list below are fairly easy, even for the non-cooking guys. If you do cook, please consider signing up for a side dish. That leaves the ice and chip choices for the “All I’ll ever need I can get at Village Pantry” crowd. Respond in this thread with what you’re bringing so others can see. I’ll try to update the list during the next few days.

Put me down for the 12pk of Pepsi and the 12pk of Sprite, as well as the 50+ 12oz. + plastic cups. Thanks. I'm really looking forward to this!

    I'll bring:

    Chips
    BBQ chips
    Doritos (regular flavor, I presume)

I just hope someone reminds me. LOL!

My wife makes an awesome vegetable salad that's marinated in Italian dressing... would that constitute the veggie side? I can bring whatever coke/pepsi is needed. Anyone thought about baby wipes for after the BBQ has been tackled?

I'm going to go out on a limb and say "yes". The less recognizable as actual vegetables the "veggie side" is, the better off we'll all be. ;) I'm a big fan of deep-frying them and/or drowning them in cheese, but whatever works.
