Great job on the video! Any chance I could get a copy for myself?

I tried to PM you, but the system says I'm not special enough.

I'd be glad to get you a hard copy (up to DVD res) or figure out a way to get you the full res version (sneakernet? It's pretty big.). Presently, all three versions (1080P, 720P, and SD-Wide) are encoded in MP4 on my hard drive.

If you have a pressing need (media report, etc.) I can get you the source package as well, but, like most videographers, I am somewhat uncomfortable with releasing it.

I can reencode in a different format if people really need it.

Also, for those that didn't notice, this video is offered in up to full res on the YouTube site (1080P).

just send me an email. MP4 is fine. Just something to put into my collection from the events. If you want to encode your name in for the credits so I don't forget or anything (I'm pretty forgetful at times :): ) that would be good. Just let me know how you wanna do it.

I sure would like to make it to the next one downtown.

As mentioned earlier, parking could be a issue to some people as downtown can be difficult to navigate. Maybe someone with knowledge of the area can Identify some good parking garages close by ect.?

When done downtown on the weekend, parking is not an issue if nothing is going on. I know of three good places to park for free for an event like this.

Kudos and about to be +1'd for the video. I haven't been on much at all this last month and saw the AAR, thought I missed a walk. Was happy to see I didn't, and a video too. Good job, looks great. :yesway:

PS: I'm still ready for the next wall whenver it gets going, so count me in. Might even get to rock the SKS Bullpup. Should have the stock in the next month, 6 weeks. (Also already got the needed 922(r) parks, so perfect for public display.)

By the way, the video is now marked "Public", so anyone can find it by searching for it on YouTube.

I was there at the march. I'm in the video at 1:55, but unfortunately my back's to the camera. I heard about the march from a friend but he had to take care of something at the last minute so I went anyway. I'll be honest, I was kind of nervous at first. And I apologize if I didn't make myself standout in greeting people, I'm pretty reserved and somewhat shy to folks I've never met face to face before. But I went because I believe we have to do things like this. I believe in the saying in that a right not exercised is a right lost. So, anyways, I'm glad I went and hope to get to do it again with you all, and maybe a whole lot more will come out next time.

if there's another one i recomend NOT notifying the police or news crews. you dont owe them a courtessy or need permission. maybe if they showed up you would get the attention and spread awareness. but notifying them ahead of time is just begging to be ignored. especialy with law enforcement that (as a department) frowns upon OC. and we all know how the mayor and his news buddies feel about guns. oh and dont forget about the deusch bag public safety director ..... Mr. burn the constitution himself/

I was considering Bloomington next, and was considering contacting them letting them know the date. At least that way the dispatch officer/911 operator can inform the frightened citizen that we are just legal concerned citizens doing nothing wrong. Just a courtesy thing. I know I don't owe it to them, but it would save a ton of hassle for them and us.

I do NOT plan on notifying any media this time though. They'll just ignore it again anyway.

A 2A march in Bloomington? That will make heads explode. The media will probably report it like Red Dawn, except from a H.G. Wells broadcast of the War of the Worlds.

if its in bloomington then yes. the reason i will go to it in bloomington is because i think that town needs to be woken up out of its socialist mindset. I would be proud to exercise my rights there. but I will only go if the cops and media are not notified ahead of time.

I think that's doable. I wasn't very fond of having a marked car escort at the last one. At least we know it's doable and we have a good foundation to build on.

yeah, i would have bounced as soon as the cop showed up to escort you all. thats just making you all look like criminals in my mind. like they are telling people "dont worry, we are watching them" no thanks. i dont need a babysitter while i operate within the perameters of my rights that NO MAN or government can give or take away..

besides a march, i think we just need to get a small group and get them to commit to openly carrying a long gun around with them everywhere they go casualy for 1 week. (i say small because im sure not a lot of people would have the gonads to do it). i bet that would raise some awareness, lol.

Count me in as well...as long as prior notice is NOT given to the policia or media.

I can help with a 2A march in bloomington or west lafayette, ( more contact people at WL though)

Also remember Ron Pual will be in bloomington on Oct 25, might be a worthy time to plan, be lots of people to take notice.

I'd be down for an idea like that. But you're right, not many others would.

No, I want no association with Ron Paul. I used to respect him until he decided that cutting 60% of the military was a good idea.
