    They are a combatant force in a war zone. Isn't that to be expected?

    Kinda depends on who launched it.

    But, now their "sovereign territory" has been attacked, so it will be easier to justify direct action. As if Putin really worries about that.

    Technically, if it came from Daesh, other anti-Assad forces, or US trainers, then it isn't a false flag. Just an opportunity.

    If Russia were to conduct a false flag, I would expect there to be more bloodshed. Generally, they don't mind breaking some eggshells to make an omelet.

    While I do not disagree with the sentiment, and acknowledge the Russians are more culturally capable of it than we are, be careful what you wish for.

    I don't see Putin stopping at a mere ****-pounding.
