I think he's saying that Russia invaded Ukraine to save Ukraine from the evil liberals who want to lower the age of consent.

But I'm having trouble keeping up, so I could be wrong...

Just posting the same propo he always posts. Which is why I just put him on ignore. I can at least usually understand way out there conspiracy people but this one is so far out there I can't even comprehend.

I just tend to focus on the rapist, rather than what the victim was wearing. I don't find fence-sitting pontification particularly relevant when it's clear who the aggressor is. Others can sift through the rubble to harvest their "yeah, buts" if they like.

Well, IMHO I don't think that's quite a far assessment. What Putin is doing is qualitatively worse, by a pretty wide margin. It's more like if Zelensky and co. were pickpockets, in this analogy.

This I can agree with. Petty thieves trying to stop the rapists from their wives/daughters.

Do you apply that logic to other things in life? Do you really believe that as soon as some person/group is a victim of wrongdoing, that it automatically becomes inappropriate to discuss or mention anything wrong they have done or are still doing?

If you're only condemning those who want to use Zelensky's faults as an excuse to justify Russia, fine, I can agree with you.

But if you're saying that people aren't allowed to have any reservations about giving unlimited aid to Ukraine's government, nor express concerns about increased collectivization in Europe and further concentration of power in the hands of socialist-leaning intergovernmental organizations being a result of such aid, than I just can't see your basis for that.

Well, your one-line observation was agreeing with a multi-sentence statement that used an extremely provocative analogy, and seemed to compare those who would find any nuance in the situation in Ukraine to people who place the blame for rape on rape victims.

That's a pretty harsh implication to make, so I would think you can't be too miffed at getting some push back on it.

I guess instead of trying to have honest discussions which explain and defend my position I should just say that everyone who disagrees with me is a rape victim blamer who likes the sound of their own voice too much. Why didn't I think of that before?

Now I think you’re minimizing the other evils. Putin invaded Ukraine. For whatever reason’s doesn’t matter. He’s in the wrong for that. Zelinsky and the US helped make sure that would happen. That’s nowhere near a misdemeanor in comparison.
