But wait, they've found the missing temperature increase.... (translated--- we doctored the data even more!)

Dammit! We need a hockey stick. Don't come back until that graph looks like a hockey stick.

They're scientists for crying out loud. They should be smart enough to conspire without leaving a paper trail.

You'd think. They may have thought they were so much smarter, average intelligence peons wouldn't be able to sort it out.

Have a friend who is a prof at a major university who takes exception to academia rolled in with industry science. His specialty is research - the kind you do at a computer gathering information about a given topic. He doesn't believe academia is moved or swayed by money because he isn't. He doesn't believe his colleagues are swayed or moved either. I deal with several sources of research (the laboratory work kind) including academia and I've seen first hand the kind of "research" done when the money is right. Some of it right here in our state. Professors at universities are interested in one thing - publication. How does one get published? Say the right thing, especially if it's what the research grant is looking for. My friend who is a prof at a major university - obviously - disagree on this issue.

There is a saying. There is no evil, only incentive.

It is interesting that the NOAA used to incorporate the satellite data until it became obvious the it was not following the agenda.

It's good to know that some significant players in the APS are honest and ethical. The official position(s) of the APS on human-sourced global climate change has been disappointing, shocking, laughable, unethical, and ridiculous all at the same time. Hopefully those who seek truth as evidenced by factual data and sound reason will take the helm.

I remember back in school, all they would talk about is "holes in the ozone layer" attributing to warming

Just now realizing how "ozone" is an extinct term. No one talks about it anymore because it ties to warming rather than the more general "climate change"

Science fixed it. They got all the CFC's banned. Now the ozone hole is practically healed. All hail the earth worshiping scientists.

They got the "ozone depleting" chemicals banned just in time for the natural cycle of stratospheric ozone concentration to start its uptrend. The air conditioning manufacturers, rather than fearing to be seen as the bad guys for having produced the stuff in the first place, fell all over themselves to drive the scam. After all, they were the ones that got to make the profit on a $5 trillion equipment replacement.

And that's how crony capitalism works. Business needs more business. Government creates need for more business.

Yup, I keep wondering how Monsanto and the pharmaceutical companies are scratching each others backs with diabetes and autism. There has to be a path through the EPA and FDA some way or other.
