Legally, that's a VERY confusing article.

If he had no will, then the church won't get any money directly, unless they were a beneficiary of some sort on an insurance policy or survivor on an account or something. He has at least 1 sibling, no parents, no kids (apparently), so the sibling will get basically everything that was his.

If he had businesses where the church was a co-owner, they would have their equity interest, subject to whatever provisions address the death of an equity owner (assuming there were some provisions like that). That would be a bit odd, though, to have co-owners since he was such a control freak.

I'm thinking the sister is going to be the primary winner in this estate proceeding.

He supposedly had and appointment to look into going to California for treatment. The head doctor from the treatment facility sent his son to MN to talk to Prince. The son was one of the 3 people who found the body.
