Honest question if you're Latinos and Latinas in this country legally, gainfully employed, and not planning on having other family members enter illegally - what part of Trump's positions would impact you in any way
Any of your friends, family, neighbors who are here illegally would be arrested and deported. That'd be an impact.
Honest question why should any person of Latino origin vote for Trump, when even the American born, educated, and successful Latinos are labeled as Mexicans, and labeled as holding their opinions solely based on ethnic heritage rather than honest political beliefs (right or wrong)?
Any of your friends, family, neighbors who are here illegally would be arrested and deported. That'd be an impact.
Well yeah.....sort of. They are here illegally so some impact should come from that.
Question.....what would you do about this situation.
I have given it a fair amount of thought and it is a very complex issue.
Again....what would you do.
Because if you, your parents, or your grandparents immigrated here legally, watching the freeloaders force their way across the border and take everything you(they) fought for is INSULTING.
Who cares what criminals think.
Any of your friends, family, neighbors who are here illegally would be arrested and deported. That'd be an impact.
Prior to Trump, that would be a solid opinion. Question nailed it, Trump apparently doesn't see the difference.
Trump talks like the greasiest of the slimy real estate people I used to deal with. The tone of voice, the platitudes, the whole thing. Commercial real estate is as dirty as it gets and I cannot imagine what it is like on the coasts. He's a slimeball, says anything to get short term gains. I cannot believe there are people who do not see through it.
To be quite absolutely honest, I figure his whole campaign is an effort to make sure Hillary gets elected. He has the party nomination, now he will ratchet up the nonsense until there is no danger of him winning.
Trump is a shyster.
Are you saying Trump is actually working for Hillary?
I would not expect to know if he was, but if I had to put money on yes or no, I would put my money on yes. I do not like her, I do not want her to be president, I would be tickled pink if she were hauled off in chains spitting and foaming at the mouth on live television. That said, she is the real deal, a power broker. He is a muppet from reality television.
If there is anyone in the world who can guarantee that Hillary becomes president, it is Donald Trump.
The fact is, the American citizen you described is not seen as such by Trump, which was proven by the statements he made about the judge. It's not even about family members who happen to live in Mexico, but the fact that Trump sees them all as either immirants or illegals. He envisions people like the judge behind the wall he wants to build. If you were born in Indiana and happen to be of Mexican descent, would this bother you? Would you support Trump?
Trump
The real, non-glib answer is maybe. If I was still ME (as I exist today) just clothed in a different body but still feeling like I do about hard work, responsibility and respectability. I couldn't say that my friends or family would accept that decision but I'm already the only Trump supporter in my immediate family and half my friends are Democrats.
As far as the reflexive judgements made about me, there are a great many assumptions already made about me due to the (lack of) color of my skin and there are places in the country where I have friends where I'm still judged by what side my ancestors fought on in a war 145 yrs ago - where I'll always be a 'yankee'
Not that I conflate how harsh those judgements of me are with what they would be like if I was Latino or black. Just sayin' I'm not immune from being pre-judged even now. So it's an interesting question but one that is hard to imagine unless I am still myself at the time I choose who to vote for
And I would like to raise the point again that anyone who thinks being a federal judge, or even a judge of the SCOTUS, frees someone from their prejudices is naive. Only judge Curiel knows if he has been completely even handed in the Trump U case but I can conceive of the possibility that he has not been.
Most people that believe as Trump does while facing a judge would not go the route Trump has simply because it is a low percentage move. Do you think the people with the land dispute at the heart of the Oregon sanctuary take over believe in an unbiased judiciary?
Are you saying Trump is actually working for Hillary?
To be quite absolutely honest, I figure his whole campaign is an effort to make sure Hillary gets elected. He has the party nomination, now he will ratchet up the nonsense until there is no danger of him winning.
If it's the case what would he do if he's elected president? Take Hillary as is VP?
Now that would be a plot twist.
Some upset Bernie supporters say they should just vote for Trump to assist in "Berning" it all to the ground... one even mentioning they want to get the inevitable "civil war" over with. Which is cute. "I don't like the candidates, so I'm going to whine and set the world on fire." Very liberal thinking.
