Ted Cruz calls for investigation into Portland Mayor over stand down orders.

    https://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2019/jun/30/ted-cruz-seeks-probe-ted-wheeler-portland-antifa-a/

I call for the mayor to be investigated too.

I feel so much better now. It signals my deep care for the situation, which you would not know about had I not made an empty call for an investigation that I know will never happen.

“Calling for” is almost as good as vowing, in terms of political signaling.

I'm not sure what's worse. The FBI is investigating "Cobra Commander", or that Cobra Commander was actually quoted in the story. Any bad guy who goes by Cobra Commander should not be trusted or believed.

The FBI is investigating anti-fascist activists for an alleged plot to buy guns from a Mexican cartel in order to “stage an armed rebellion” at the southern border, according to an unclassified document obtained by The Chicago Tribune.

The FBI document, from December of 2018, warns of militant antifa activists planning to “disrupt security operations” at the U.S.-Mexico border. The group allegedly planned to buy guns from a Mexican cartel associate known as Cobra Commander, in order to “stage an armed rebellion at the border.”

The source who provided it to the San Diego Tribune asked the outlet not to publish the six-page document because the investigation is ongoing, and the outlet cited two additional law enforcement officials who confirmed the news. The FBI has warned dozens of law enforcement agencies in both Mexico and the United States of the alleged plot.

Two of the men named in the report told the San Diego Tribune the allegations are absurd.

“It doesn’t make any sense that someone from the United States would purchase guns in Mexico,” Ivan Reibeling, the man known as Cobra Commander, told the outlet.

Same thing as "condemning" something. It has absolutely no meaning. Enough of the empty bull**** talk.

Cobra Commander? Meh, I'd rather follow Serpetor.

One banner read “f*** Nazis and fascists”, while some protesters waved a banner for the Satanic Portland Antifascists and chanted: “Not hate, no fear, Proud Boys are not welcome here.”

    Seems a funny saying, considering..

After issuing a dispersal order, three people were arrested. A 23-year-old man was charged with second-degree assault and assault of a police officer, a 21-year-old man was charged with harassment and a 23-year-old woman with disorderly conduct and harassment.

Someone's life is about to take a turn.

Suspect that beat Adam Kelly over the head with a metal pipe has been ID'd

He was previously arrested at a Portland Antifa Riot for using a slingshot.

Obviously a victim of racist hatred. He needs to get a firearm and train on how to use it (if he hasn't already done so)

Not sure if that's purple or not.

After watching the video, you can see he's in the thick of it and surrounded by thugs. My choice in that situation (assuming I got there) is to GTFO. Pulling a handgun out when surrounded by twenty or more potential combatants is a whole different level of training than the basics.

And, he didn't exactly look like a canonical journalist, tshirt, dark jeans, cellphone camera... I might recommend a fedora with "press" badge in it.

With the rise of the new "journalism", journalist aren't simply reporters, but untrained folks looking for a spin, quick "likes", and some mild vigilante action against the mob.

It was [STRIKE]her[/STRIKE] his fault because of the way [STRIKE]she[/STRIKE] he was dressed.

Only highly trained Libprogocrat journalists should be allowed to put a spin on their allies peaceful demonstration.

We seem to now have two threads on the same topic.

There's a pretty neutral article on Yahoo in the other thread - one without spin (except possibly in labeling Ngo as a conservative blogger), and one with reports on the riot without any of their journalist being hurt.
