    When you rep someone, part of the dialog allows you to assign a number of points. The higher your own reputation score, the more points you can potentially give to someone in a rep. The number of pips under your name/title gives you an idea of someone's current rep. Everyone starts at one.

    Rep can be given to anyone for any reason- usually a post that you really like. You can only rep a limited number of people per day.

    When giving reputation can you give more than one point? If so how?

    When you rep someone, part of the dialog allows you to assign a number of points. The higher your own reputation score, the more points you can potentially give to someone in a rep. The number of pips under your name/title gives you an idea of someone's current rep. Everyone starts at one.

    What Phase2 said. For example when I rep someone, I get a little drop-down menu with the number of points I wish to give (I always give +10, which I think is the max - at least that's as high as mine goes in the drop-down).
