I believe they also want to make permanent, far reaching changes to unemployment rather than just limiting it to the emergency, and then want relief to individuals to go through the Byzantine unemployment bureaucracy so that individual aid won't go to [STRIKE]people who don't vote for them[/STRIKE] people who they feel don't deserve it

That should only add weeks to how long it takes people to see the money, what could go wrong?

If you want me to say on a micro level, I'll pick the banks / businesses. I'm still getting paid, my wife is getting paid, we're spending less money right now, but businesses (e.g. restaurants, travel and tourism) are suffering terribly bad.


Trickle down economics is still in favor with conservatives, no?

You seem to be forgetting, in a large number of states you can not legally go to work even if you want to, and before this is over that will be the case nation wide.

The public needs a bailout simply due to being unable to work.
