Uhhhh, so everything that is good and right, admired, and formed the foundation of this great nation... the left hates?

Depends how you define “left”. The part of the left, which seem to control what and how media reports, people like Ezra Klein, for example, yes. Much of academia, yes. Growing numbers of boardrooms, yes. America down to its very foundation is evil, needs to be deconstructed, and rebuilt, with the power structures flipped. That’s the goal.Uhhhh, so everything that is good and right, admired, and formed the foundation of this great nation... the left hates?
You need to acknowledge that not the entire left is crazy. The distinction I make is that there isn’t anything wrong with being a liberal. The problem is the far left progressives, which are aliberal. You are the ultimate arbiter of wight and wrong, so, please for my edification make a list of all that is good and right that the left stands up for.
I do not expect you can or will reply, so please feel free to deflect.

Correct. The loudest people on the left don't necessarily reflect what the rank and file more liberal people believe. What's more, while the hard leftists are loud, right-leaning pundits and media influencers are seldom interested in more moderate liberals because it's harder to foment outrage with what they say. The right LOVES to hear what the far left crazies say because it's so easily attacked. It's a straw man that the left sets up for itself that the right media people looking for views and clicks are all to willing to report upon, no matter how small a group the straw man may represent.
That being said, I fear that the current situation so polarized, so binary, so lacking in nuance, that the right and left will start identifying with the loudest voices because it's easier, and more entertaining, to do that to try to find common ground.
If I arrested you, at some point in the past, I'm sorry... I was just doing my job.
Well said.
I have a friend who feels pretty much left out of the political scene. She wants to be a democrat, mostly because her parents were democrats. But she does not want socialism or socialized health care or socialized anything for that matter. She doesn't like Trump and she doesn't like where the current democrat party is. I tell her just to vote Republican until the democrats become tolerable again but she won't do that either. Her solution is to vote democrat for state and local offices and not vote at all for federal offices. I don't think she is alone.

I bet Germans were saying the exact same thing in the early 1930s. Actually, they were.
Deflection is your unsuper power. We can see right through it.
