I'm going to go against the grain on this one, not by way of excuse (far from), but explanation.

I'm thinking that in her community (and many, but certainly not all Muslim communities), the manner in which the Jewish people and Israel are discussed is so ingrained within them, that when she says these things, it is not a considered choice designed to offend. She simply assumes that the way she thinks and talks is the way it is and is confused when people take issues with what she knows to be Truth based upon all that hse has been taught and told since birth. She can't believe that other people don't see it this way.

...of course, ingrained antisemitism is still bigotry.

In my opinion, that makes it worse. It combines malicious prejudice and discriminatory behaviors with a vile level of social and cultural hubris.

I only explained a mindset. That is all. Nothing more.

It was a response to my "funny" pic and I knew what you meant....

    "Cafeteria line in Chicago
There's fat man in front of me
Calling black people trash to his children
But he's the only trash here I see
And I'm thinking this man wears a white hood
And at night when his children should sleep
They'll creep to their window and see him
And think that white hood's all they need...

    chorus

    It's a hard life, it's a hard life, it's a very hard life
It's hard life where ever you go
And if we poison our children with hatred
Then a hard life is all they'll know"

    That's a lot of words. I don't disagree.

My thought is that this shows that there can be such a rush to look enlightened and progressive by electing the "first this" or "first that" that many look past what the prejudices of "this" or "that" may be.
