I'd love to go. Unfortunately, the organizers don't welcome armed citizens, so I will have to pass.

I am going and I am going armed. DO NOT LET SOMETHING STUPID STOP YOU FROM GOING!

They are counting on the police to respond to any crazies in the crowd! Please don't make me be the ONLY one there who will be carrying!

Well, not the ONLY one. One person said they too would carry. A couple others hinted at it.

DONT LET A STUPID "Please don't do this" statement STOP YOU FROM COMING!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If you do come armed, you MUST stay on the sidewalk or street.... Of course. Thought I'd throw that out there....

So your interpretation of the law means we cannot be on the Statehouse lawn? Please cite the applicable chapter from the code. I'd like to look it up to see how it's worded.

That I don't know know about. Code that is.

But I DO KNOW that you can't carry on Gooberment property and the lawn is such. While the sidewalk is technically gooberment property and so is the street, I do know those are not coded as off limits. If so, anyone carrying while walking by the state house could be arrested.

The lawn is the same as the state house, it just doesn't have a roof and walls.

Either way, I don't want to be the test case or find out the hard way that the lawn is covered in code. I do know Property is and the lawn is part of the property....

Well, I have scoured IC 35-47 where most of the firearm laws are and I can't find any reference to the statehouse or government property. That doesn't mean it isn't somewhere else. I was hoping to find the language to see if it said "building" or "property". Either way, I'll be there with you.

No they are not. Just casual security walking around looking for ACORN members trying to cause problems. Make no mistake. They will be there. Plus a small police detail.

I have decided not to cc. Why? because I will most likely want to get photographs and videos of things of interest deep into the property. (I love taking photos.) Plus, The police will most likely ask people blocking the sidewalks to move along. Looking for an INGO member? Check the sidewalks :)

That's good. I respect your right to not CC because I expect a full thread filled with your pictures! :D I plan on getting some with mine aswell. We'll just have to start a Tea Party Picture Thread. :rockwoot:

I'm sure the police won't do much about people crowding the sidewalks. Especially IF they get the 10K people they expect. If I MUST keep moving that's fine too. I'll just walk back and forth. :D If they ask why I can't leave the sidewalk I'll just hand them my LTCH with a smile.

This INGO member will be easy to spot. With an NRA shirt, INGO hat, and a Gadsden flag!

Someone, PLEASE get a pic! SavageEagle, I will do my best to be at the Bloomington Tea party and am only sad that I will not run into you there.

For other Btown people, I will be either wearing an RWVA hat or a techres hat. I will be a bit late due to work, but will be there.

As for other stuff, this is an outdoor event and things are different in Bloomington than Indy...

LOL I'm sure there will be plenty of pictures! Hopefully not of me! I'd hate to crack a lens! :p

I wish you would be there. Everyone else too. While I know it's a drive, I always figured if everyone in Indiana came to Indy, being a central place, with THAT large of a turn out we'd be center stage for media attention! That's ok though.

Will the Bloomington one be held on the same day? I didn't see it on the map of all the ones on the 15th. If so, who were the main organizers? I'd hope someone from here, but if not that's ok. At least its happening for those who can't make it here.

Don't forget to watch for ACORN plants. If you were on the mailing list you will know about this. If not, don't confront them or sign ANY petitions!!! No one from the Tea Party's will be having petitions to sign. Also, if you see ANYONE with Anti-Tea Party propoganda ask the police or security to have them removed if they start getting rowdy. I have no problem wiht them being there, but we don't need trouble either.

I'll have pics aplenty... If I see any INGO suspects I'll take photos unless you scowl at me :) I appreciate and agree with the desire for privacy.

I just got my signs finished up. I've got one I'm going to put in my truck on the way there just for kicks. It says "Annoy a Liberal - Use Facts." I'm pretty sure I'll CC..... Everyone have a great trip.

I have two 11x17 sings mounted on stiff corrugated cardboard, so I have four sides to work with:

"Honk If I'm paying your mortgage" (the O in mortgage is the Obama symbol) :D
    "Debt is slavery, Stop now"
    "No Socialism"
"Don't Spread my wealth, Spread my work ethic"

Mine are are foam board so the wind won't jack with them. I have one with signs on both sides - "No More Wasteful Spending," & "STOP spending my 2 year olds Future." I'll probably put something on the back side of my "Annoy a Liberal - Use Facts" sign tomorrow so I'll also have 4 to work with as well. It could be a fun day!!!!

I'm jealous of all of you that will be able to attend. I wish it were earlier in the day. My shift starts at 3pm. :noway:

I hope the crowds are massive and everything goes smoothly for you all. Be on the lookout for wolves in sheeps clothing (libtard saboteurs).

Best of luck! You all will be in my prayers! :rockwoot:
