How do we know this hasnt been happening for years and now they are just deciding to mention it?

Just ask our LEOs. How many people are shot and stabbed every night that we dont hear about? Then suddenly the media decides for some reason its worth talking about. Next thing you know the news makes it sound like we are in a war zone with several dead each day in the city like it is a new thing. Yet nothing ACTUALLY changed.

We had blood in the streets for years, but they just didnt cover it. It just SOUNDS worse because now it is being talked about out in the open.
The media/government reasoning behind heavily-marketed stories is simply propaganda and driving of a narrative to achieve a certain goal.

And in context LEO/shootings statement, I would have to say that we can apply a little bit of situational awareness to that concept. For instance, our members here have known about the crime and violence happening (specifically in Indianapolis) for years, with more details than are common knowledge to the general public because we are sharing that information in our social circle. In a similar vein, I would come to the conclusion that IF there were a bunch of UFOs reported or shot down in the last few years that we would’ve heard at least some chatter about them, for a few reasons:

    1. Service members talk and that info gets out.

    2. The government will use any excuse to bolster itself.

    3. Conspiracy chatter would’ve made its way mainstream by now.

    4. Regular people love to share everything on social media.

Not saying it hasn’t been happening, just that it’s harder now more than ever for something big like that to be hidden and Occam’s Razor applies.

I think "ignored" is more analogous than hidden. Look at the twitter files. LOTS of info out there. Juicy info. But its being ignored by the MSM in hopes it will all just go away.

""Some of the F-22 Pilots who Tracked the Aircraft that was downed over Alaska yesterday said that it 'Interfered with their Sensors' and that 'They could see No Propulsion Systems on the Aircraft not knowing how it could possibly be staying in the Air,'" according to the public military and intelligence scanner, Open Source Intelligence Monitor."

"The high-altitude unidentified object, described as an “octagonal structure” with strings attached to it, is understood to have been the same item that was picked up by radar over Montana on Saturday. At the point it was struck by an air-to-air missile launched by F-16 fighter jets, it had been flying across the Great Lakes region at 20,000ft, a height that could have posed a risk to civilian aircraft."

He's just stirring up conspiracy ******** to cover for the fact that china has caught us with our pants down, and they need time to plan for what course of action to take.
