Curious, do you guys count Bosma as a conservative? Or just an opportunist?

Same for Holcomb, if you have an opinion.

The only thing I know about Bosma is he wouldn't help get Lucas' gun bills through the last two sessions. The only thing I know about Holcomb is he spent months going around different places shooting basketball as a run up to his campaign earlier this year.

I have a friend and former state senator who says Holcomb is a no good SOB, and I have no doubt whatsoever regarding his judgment.

In what respect? Did he say?

We didn't get into a lot of detail, but he is deeply entrenched in the Indianapolis GOP/Chamber of Commerce/we don't give a f**k about anyone not in the top tax bracket crowd. I got the impression he is generally dishonest, but he came up in the middle of discussing someone else we both particularly dislike.

So, I heard over the weekend that Pence needs to know by Friday whether he won the veepstakes, so he can withdraw from the governor's race. Trump coming to Westfield on Tuesday....

Things that make you say, "Hmmmmm....."

(Still think it'd be a bad move by Pence to hitch his wagon to the Trump train. But, he didn't ask me.)

Pence asked me yesterday and I told him - "Go for it, dude!" :rockwoot:

You're going to have to be WAY more specific.... ;)

In truth, I had hoped we were rid of both Bayh and Hill. At least Hill was getting properly trounced this go around. For some reason, more voters seem to like Bayh and his jumping into the race to try and save the D's bacon is annoying.

So then this happened. Just heard that Daniels stated on the record that it would be premature to comment on whether he'd run for governor.

Wow. Usually he just says he's happy where he is.

    This is through-the-looking-glass material.

    SECOND. BEST. CASE. SCENARIO.

(Best of course is that Daniels gets the floor vote at the RNC to be President)

Refresh my memory here, please--are there any term limit issues with running for governor? Just 2 successive terms at a time, but he can run again after sitting out at least one term?

Yep. I can't remember the specifics, but some of the state elected offices have a restriction of no more than 8 years in any 12 year set or something like that.

Either way, he's clear to run. If he wants.

Thanks. I would welcome Daniels back...especially over Mr. Mustache.
