    Pretty much Michigan.
    I was going to go with a Glock 19 Gen 4/5 as it seems to be the most beginner recommended pistol. I saw one in the Classifieds for $600 and was thinking about it. I know I'm going to have to spend a few hundred extra for a holster, ammo, and training.
    Id find a gun shop and fondle the gen 5 and 3. See if your a finger grooves guy or not. Gen 4s arent so common anymore since they were discontinued.

    A used one for $600? Haven't places on line been selling police trade ins for like $400?
    Panic buyers, supply and demand, etc. is screwing with the costs.

    EDIT: and some people price used ones high, knowing there are those that will pay a premium to avoid the paper trail of a 7743.
