Already have the pico de gallo set and already dipping into it.
Spanish rice is the next order for the meal. I'm trying to plan things. Speed bumps abound.

Wife on vacation and I want her off her feet as much as possible. I'll cook!
Today we're having collards, brats and corn dodgers. She's not averse to my southern cooking anymore.

She always wants to help with yardwork, though. No! REST! Recover.

Done with lunch. Waiting until my mouth cools down before my nap. It's good that we waited until today to get food from there. This was the first day they'd been open in the last 10 days. The owner said they were over in China for his daughter's wedding. Sounded neat. It was in the mountains and he said the roads were all up and down and winding. He said his wife got carsick.

It was good! Had lots of cashews in it too. I actually have some leftovers. Their dinner entrees are pretty huge.

kids came and will use the lake house tonight so we are back home, with their 2 dogs. their male dog just tried to mark one of my chairs. I yelled no and smacked him, he snapped at me , I kicked him, he decided to call it quits at that point.
