We had our spring checkup back in early May. I use the company that @Brandon works for (I think). I alway change my filter right before they come. It's the 16x25x4 kind that lasts 6 months.

I checked website of my HVAC manufacturer for dealers in my area. Had my current one and 2 others. 1 of the others had a 1 of 5 star rating. The other 5 of 5. Called them, receptionist connected me with owner. Seemed very, very nice, accommodating, and easy going. Got set up with them and they will be here Wednesday at 11. Still gonna wait until my current guy calls and then “discuss” things with him. Just kinda wanna see how long it takes

I completed all projects except fixing lav leak. The drain is rusted and going to be a chore removing it. I see a recip saw being the tool of choice. That's for another day. I'm beat and going for some fried chicken.

Not a fan of having vehicles sitting out 24/7 during this weather. They are covered with dust and my black interior sitting in sun, windows up, and locked doesn’t bode well for quick trips. 1 dog to vet at 3 and other 1 goes tomorrow - I need to remember to go out, open them up, and crank the A/C a while before time to leave.

My house system is 18 years old and having concerns.

My service guy has gotten to the point he is never getting here anymore. Went a year in ‘18 ( pay every year for semi-annual ). He had a come to Jesus moment when I finally did hear from him. Then last May he called and told me filter on back order, will come when I get it. Didn’t hear from him again. End of July I called and ask if they had gotten the filter. Well of course they had it ( for a couple months ). This was a few days after my son was killed. I wasn’t in the best of moods. He came on July 31. I paid for the next 2 semi annual checks/service, new filter, new pad for furnace humidifier pad, etc. Haven’t heard from them since. Didn’t get here for the fall/pre-winter ck/service. Hasn’t called or been here yet for this spring’s ck/service. My intentions were to let him do everything, swap filters, etc. and then tear him a new a**hole, refuse to pay him anything, and kick him to the curb. Today thinking I better just decide on a new company and get on their “list”.

That would suck. My guy has always been out 2x a year w/o me calling. He hasn’t called yet for this summer service though… should I be worried…

I'm going to hire out this fixture replacement. I got all the screws out of the old one, and pried and pried, but something is still holding it up. And I'm not a circus contortionist so I can't stay up there to figure it out.

I put up 3 bags of snow peas and 7 bags of sugar snap peas today. It’s like I am making money being retired.
